Douglas Park Family Market

This is becoming a firm favourite on the Sunday scene for families in Cork and with good reason! A market with great stalls, a lovely vibe and a seriously family friendly edge. There is a playground on site, plenty of parking and toilets too.The Market is open every Sunday from 10am-3pm and is located at Douglas Park. You can follow the happenings of the Douglas Park Family Market on Facebook and Instagram 

Kids Orienteering Fota House & Gardens 

This is a great way to introduce the kids to nature in the gorgeous setting of Fota House and Gardens. Get them connected to nature and follow it up with a lunch in the lovely Bakestone cafe on the grounds and a wander through the gardens. This is run by the Bishopstown Orienteering Group and you can find out more on their Facebook Event Page

Model Railway Village Clonakilty

This is such a hidden gem for kids in West Cork and if you have train obsessed smallies they will absolutely love this place with fully working train models and plenty to explore! Aside from trains there is so much more to do and see here including, sensory gardens, indoor and outdoor play areas and remote control boats. Summer Camp Expo in Mahon Point Shopping Centre

Looking for a summer camp for the kids and don’t want to trawl the internet? Get down to Mahon Point Shopping Centre who are running an expo with over 20 camps on site to get to know. Read all about it in our recent article we would also recommend burning off some steam upstairs at the free play area in the shopping centre or if you want a little you time why not drop the kids and the excellent onsite crèche and supervised play area downstairs?
